Spectacular Aurora Borealis in Bradfield

Last week, something truly magical happened in Bradfield, nestled in the Peak District. The northern lights—those elusive, captivating curtains of color—graced the sky in a rare, vivid display. The air was still, the village quiet, and the sky unusually clear for this time of year came alive with hues of green, red, and violet.
I managed to capture this moment right over my house bathed in the soft glow of the aurora. It was an unexpected sight, as usually, we think of the northern lights as a spectacle reserved for the far north, but here they were, painting the sky in our own countryside. Indeed in my 53 years I have never seen them until now…
